Resortwear Turns To Everyday Dressing
As resortwear gains popularity, its designs are reshaping everyday dress codes

Resort wear seems to increasingly blend into everyday clothing. Take, for instance, ready-to-wear label QUOD’s first resort line that was unveiled recently. The ‘Endless Summer’, informed by founder-designer Ikshit Pande’s own holiday to Sri Lanka, features maxis with voluminous bubble hems, candy striped trench dresses, kaftan-style midis and separates dipped in shades of butter yellow, cotton candy and sky blue. “We don’t need to be sporting tiny bikinis to scream resort,” says Pande. “At the end of the day, they have to be extremely functional and breathable clothes.”
